Approach and Experience

I am committed to a therapy practice that feels safe, warm, and authentic. I work from a strength based perspective, building on the skills and qualities that you already have.  I establish meaningful and trusting relationships with clients, creating a space where you feel comfortable opening up and working together to create the life you desire.

I have experience working as a therapist in a variety of settings, including Seton Shoal Creek Hospital, Dell Children’s Hospital, and Meridell Achievement Center.  Through these experiences, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, families, and young adults experiencing a variety of issues, including major life changes, history of trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation issues, personality disorders, and self-harm.

As of late, my practice has focused primarily on work with adolescent females and young adults of all gender identities.

I integrate multiple evidence based treatment approaches into my practice, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and attachment and strength based perspectives.  My approach to no two clients is the same, and is tailored to your uniqueness, struggles, and needs.  I believe in a collaborative approach to treatment, and will coordinate with parents, psychiatrists, and other mental health providers when possible and appropriate.

Now that you know a bit about me, I’d love to learn about you.  Call or email me, and we can discuss any questions you might have and schedule an appointment!
